Many trouble with our deposit and we never received the money for tomato picking, he told us we will transfer it to our bank accounts. The hostel has not much work, we worked two days in two weeks.

The guy, who was very friendly and enthusiastic at first starts to avoid us. There was never anyone at the reception, the guy would pop back around late afternoon to bring tomorrow's work sheet and sneak back out like a ghost.

Stayed here for a week. Some people didn't seem to mind. Some semblance of professionalism wouldn't hurt them. It's like they knew it's all going to hell anyway so they just stopped trying.

Never stay here. It's terribly dirty and noisy, the owner has always said that I can work at somewhere but they were all bullshits. And he doesn't give the deposit back. It's the most horrible place I've ever stayed.

A grumpy and condescending Chinese girl (the only one who worked there aside from Charlie) cleaned there and was rude to tenants and insulted people who asked questions. The place is quite dirty though, so she wasn't doing a very good job. The showers for example were quite grimy, I don't think anyone was interested in cleaning them. Some rooms were ok, mine looked like a garage with beds.

Before going cherri, I ignored some reviews of cherri. It was the worst mistake !!! Please don't make any mistakes like me. maybe you don’t want to use dirty, smelly, and messy restrooms&kitchen. Don't you?

I think that it is better to sleep on the street.

I would recommend not to come to Bundaberg at all, but if you do don't go in this hostel.

Room's are pretty small and ours had concrete floor. When we arrived our toilet was blocked but he promised he will fix it tomorrow , took him one week and he only fixed it because I told him I am not going to pay full rent if he is not going to fix it.

Don't go there. The owner will promise you a loot of work even though there isn't a lot, he is only gonna give you enough work to pay the rent. Also some employers don't pay minimum wage (got paid 16$ an hour for bucket boy) and they also sometimes don't count all your hours, we informed the hostel owner about that and he ignored it and kept sending people to the farm. You also only get told at 7pm if you work tomorrow or not. The owner puts up the list right before he leaves so he doesn't have to talk to anybody about why there are not working.

If you can stay here, you can adopt anywhere in Australia!!!

It was quite funny actually. The owner is 20-yo Turkish guy (Charlie or something) who promised this and this sort of work, definitely starting tomorrow, we check in for a week. Turns out they weren't planning on training more people and we're stuck with cherry tomatoes (which I later learned to appreciate in some kind of masochistic way, I guess, just in a different hostel).
